What FairTab is

FairTab is a calculator and record keeper for shared expenses. It suggests who should pay whom to settle a group’s balances. It does not move money, hold money, or connect to bank accounts. Settling up happens outside the app, between you and your friends.

Your data, your responsibility

Your data is stored in your browser only. If you clear site data or lose the device without exporting a backup, the data is gone and we cannot recover it, because we never had it.

The one-time purchase

The full version is a one-time purchase tied to the browser where you complete it and to the license token it stores. Keep a JSON backup, which includes nothing about your license; if you lose the license token, contact support with your Stripe receipt and we will sort it out. If the app fails to deliver what it promises, ask for a refund within 14 days and you will get one.

No warranties

FairTab is provided as is. We work to keep the math correct and the app available, but we are not liable for disagreements between you and your group, missed payments, or losses arising from use of the app. Double-check large settlements.

Fair use

Do not attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse the payment verification service.
